# Troubleshooting

What to do when your agent cannot reach the Designless app, finds no brand, or the Agent-Native Canvas never opens.

## Ask the Designless Agent

/designless My last request did not work. Tell me what went wrong and how to fix it.

If the agent cannot answer, find the message you see below.

## "The Designless desktop app isn't reachable" or "Not authenticated"

Open the Designless app and sign in, then reconnect the server (in Claude Code, from the `/mcp` panel) or start a new session.

The plugin connects through the app, so the app needs to stay open and signed in.

## "No brands found"

Run `/designless` and ask for a new brand to get started.

## "Capsule not published"

Run `/designless` and ask to publish; the agent walks you through the quality gate.

## The canvas never opens, or you installed the plugin on its own

The canvas renders in the Designless app, which is a separate install. Sign in at designless.app, or create an account, and download the app from the user menu; it is not offered on the signed-out page. Open the app and sign in there, then run `/designless` again.

## macOS asks to install developer tools

Adding a marketplace from a terminal makes Claude Code and Codex fetch it with git. On a Mac without Apple's command line developer tools, macOS asks to install them first; install from the Designless app instead, which needs neither.

## Still stuck

You can ask a more specific follow-up or contact support@designless.io. Include what you have already tried so the team can continue from that point.
