# Update or remove the plugin

Keep the Designless plugin current in each coding agent, or take it out.

## Let the Designless app do it

The simplest route is the Designless app: it installs and updates the plugin in Claude Code, the ChatGPT app and Cursor for you. Its install card can also run the steps on this page.

The plugin advises you in-session when an update is available.

## Claude Code

To update, refresh the marketplace, then update the plugin:

```
claude plugin marketplace update designless-plugins
claude plugin update designless@designless-plugins
```

Without the refresh, the update can report that you already have the latest version.

To remove it:

```
claude plugin uninstall designless@designless-plugins
```

## Codex in the ChatGPT app

To update, upgrade the marketplace, then add the plugin again:

```
codex plugin marketplace upgrade designless-plugins
codex plugin add designless@designless-plugins
```

When an update adds a hook, the app asks you to approve that one hook in the conversation (it is also listed under Settings → Hooks). Approve it, then quit and reopen the ChatGPT app: until it restarts, the app keeps running the hooks it started with.

To remove it:

```
codex plugin remove designless@designless-plugins
```

## Cursor

The Designless app installs, updates and removes the plugin for you. Restart Cursor afterwards.
